In a very indirect way, in a very delicate way, Basho says, “Moonlit plum tree...” Don’t be in a hurry, “Wait, spring will come.” 

It is metaphoric. It is about you, not about the plum tree.

Just wait, everybody has his own spring. If you rightly wait, the spring can come right now. It depends on the depth of your waiting.
