One very cold morning we set out into the Himalayan mountains in the middle of a 4 week trek. I had come in search of freedom after a difficult time in my life, but with the cold and my poor health I felt a broken man and wondered why I was even there. My mind was in a dark place as we climbed around the corner of the mountain, and I was greeted by this sight! I stopped, dropped my backpack and watched the bird swoop and glide over my head, there was complete silence as I watched. It was a moment I will never forget. In that moment I had fold the freedom I was looking for, just when I felt I couldn’t go on.
